As you can see with my stunning graphic on the sidebar, our next show is due to release on Thursday, August 3rd. Special guest for that show is Nick Sande of Surly Bikes.
Also next Thursday, I’ll be doing my interview with Marla Streb for Episode 3, due out August 17. If you don’t know Marla… well you oughta. Here’s a couple highlights from her bio:
“I knew I could suffer more than any of the other racers.” That’s what convinced Marla that she had what it takes to become pro. In 1997, she won her first bronze World Cup medal with a 2 hour-old broken ankle in South Africa.
…
In 2003, Marla became the National Downhill champion in the U.S., won the World Cup in Austria and published her first book, “Downhill: The Life Story of a Gravity Goddess”.
…
In September 2004, Marla won the National Championship title again - this time in two events: Downhill and Super-Downhill.
…
For ‘06, Streb has signed again with the Luna team, Red Bull, and Oakley. The current National Downhill champ will try to win another Single Speed World Championship.
So I’m looking forward to chatting with THE Marla Streb next week and feel free to leave ideas for questions in the comments!
